Maria obtained her Pharmacy Degree at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece. During her studies she gained experience at the General Oncological Hospital of Athens “Oi Agii Anargiri”. After obtaining her pharmacist registration, she continued her training with the research-oriented Master’s program of Bio-pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Leiden, The Netherlands. For one year, she performed an internship at the Drug Discovery and Safety Division, part of the Leiden Academic Center of Drug Research, where she gained hands-on experience in drug design, synthesis, and pharmacological evaluation of newly synthesized ligands. Aiming to extend her knowledge in the field of clinical research, she is currently performing an internship at Saberg Clinical Research. During this internship she will broaden her experience in pharmacovigilance, medical monitoring as well as clinical trial design and implementation.
